Hoping Fully

It's amazing what can happen after 3 weeks of coming home from vacation.

Me, my mom, Karl, and his parents went to Myrtle Beach April 10th-13th. It was me and Karl's second time seeing each other in person, and it was awesome. We all had so much fun, but when the last day came, all we could think about is how in the world we were gonna say good-bye or "see you later"... again. By the time we both got home, we were of course very upset, and asking God why He wanted us to keep going through the pain of letting go of each other. The main response we've been getting from Him, is to trust Him. Easier said than done sometimes, but completely necessary.

Since being back, Karl and I have used the word "hopefully" a countless amount of times in our conversations. The more I thought about it, the more I realized how true that word is - think about it - when you separate "hope" and "fully", you get Hope Fully. And that's what we need to do, we need to Hope in Him, fully. Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hope is the first step to having complete faith and trust in Him. Being sure of what we hope for is better than just hoping for something, but doubting it in the back of your mind. Karl and I have had to learn this, and it does help a lot when you're waiting for something you've wanted all your life. Not easy, but again, completely necessary.
